I love pretty design and nice stationery, so naturally, Rifle Paper Co. is one of my favorite brands. The stationery/lifestyle company was born out of a Florida couple’s garage in 2009, and has since grown from paper products to an extensive collection of home, office and fashion goods. A 1990’s white Keds sneakers kid, I was thrilled when the Rifle Paper Co. + Keds collaboration rolled out with several sneaker print designs, right up my fashion alley, in Spring 2017. (I went with the Champion classic-style oxford sneaker in slate/gold Queen Anne print.) It was pretty much a holiday, if you ask me.
So now that you know I was (and apparently still am) a Keds fanatic, you should also know that I’m a USPS stamp hoarder. Around the same time I was tying my Keds shoelaces, I was collecting postage stamps and storing them in clunky, 3-ring photo albums before archival photo sleeves, glues, and inks were a thing. The stamp collection has since yellowed and mostly crumbled, but my nerdy love for the newest stamp releases is, like my love for Keds, still a thing. Anyone who receives snail mail from me knows the truth: I AM A DORK WHO LOVES HER SOME STAMPS.
Now imagine, just for a second, how I must have felt when I read earlier today that my darling Rifle Paper Co. has collaborated with the United States Postal Service to create the 2018 LOVE stamp!
It’s due out Jan. 18. I’m preordering five sheets of 20 right now.
I’m looking forward to this as much as I’m looking forward to the Justin Timberlake album release in February.
I’m like really excited. It’s the little things in life that carry you through the storms, you know? Pretty design, nice stationery and postage stamps just happen to be a few of my little things, and now, I can use them all together to create one “big” little thing. Oh my God, I’m just gonna send y’all pretty notes in the mail for no reason at all!
A big congrats to Anna Bond and the Rifle Paper team, and the USPS, for truly making my day.
