If you know me, you know that “Last Christmas” by Wham! is my favorite Christmas song and peppermint mochas are my favorite drink this time of year. And, I love cookies and holiday decor. In fact, I’d be perfectly fine skipping the gift exchanges as long as I had the music and the food, and was surrounded by all things buffalo plaid and pine. and if I had to pick only one of these things to celebrate the season, I’d take the tunes, hands down — even over the buffalo plaid. Nope, not joking.
So, on to the MUSIC!
Every October I scout out the new Christmas albums that will be released in the coming weeks, and start crafting the year’s playlist on TIDAL. I always maintain the Christmas pop hits playlist (‘Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime,”anyone?) and a cool jazz one with Christmas classics by Ella, Sinatra and Nat King Cole, but I make space for the new stuff. I freaking love hearing the new stuff, guys. That’s a present in and of itself.
